Surfside Beach is a town in Horry County, South Carolina Its nickname is “The Family Beach”. Located a few miles south of Myrtle Beach, Surfside if far less populated making the beaches less crowed and more enjoyable, especially in the early mornings.
Sea oats is a long lived, slow growing, warm season, perennial grass commonly associated with the upper dunes along beach fronts. They help to protect the dunes from erosion.
